Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Pocket Drain is run by Kamba Abudu, an individual developer based in the United Kingdom. I am responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy covers the Pocket Drain website, browser game and Direct desktop editions, including their online services.
The essentials
You can browse without accepting optional analytics. We do not sell your personal information or use support messages for advertising. Please avoid putting passwords, private game invitations or information about other people into a message.
Website visits and security
Our hosting and security services may process your IP address, browser information, requested page and time of access to deliver the website, investigate errors and prevent misuse. Cloudflare provides website hosting and protection. Contact requests are handled by the game server’s website-support endpoint.
We use this information for our legitimate interests in providing a reliable, secure website and protecting visitors. Security processing is limited to what is needed for those purposes.
Game saves and online play
Offline saves and settings stay in your browser storage or the desktop application’s data folder. A portable save file is stored wherever you choose to save it. Online play uses a game identity and session credentials to recognise your device, protect access to private games and restore progress. Keep your private invitations and exported files safe.
The game server stores the information needed to run online games, including player identities, chosen characters, room membership, actions, progress and completed results. Hosting and security services process connection information to deliver the service and prevent abuse. Private game records are available to authorised participants and the developer for operation and support; there is no public player chat. Records needed for continuing games and saved results remain until removed through operational retention or a valid deletion request. Contact support if you need help with your information; removing a local save alone does not remove server records.
Contact messages and feature requests
The contact form asks for your reply email address, a topic and your message. We use these to answer questions, investigate problems, consider feature requests and handle privacy or security concerns. You do not need to provide your real name. Sending a message is optional.
Brevo delivers the message to our support inbox, hosted by Zoho Mail. These providers process the email address and message so we can receive and respond to it. We do not add you to a mailing list. We handle correspondence for our legitimate interests in supporting players and improving the game; legal requests may also require processing to meet our legal obligations.
Text entered into the form is not intentionally saved by the website or sent to analytics.
Bot checks and abuse prevention
Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a submission may be automated. It may process technical information about your browser and connection. The server verifies the check and limits repeated requests. Abuse controls may use a keyed hash of your IP address and request times. A hash remains personal information when it can relate to you; it is used for security, not advertising.
Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of security-service information.
Cookies and optional analytics
Silktide’s consent manager is hosted on this website. It remembers your cookie choices in your browser’s local storage. The consent manager itself does not require us to send those choices to Silktide.
Optional analytics is currently switched off. Google Analytics does not load or collect website visits, even if you save an analytics preference. We will ask for a fresh choice before enabling optional analytics. Contact messages are never sent to analytics, and analytics is not included in the playable game or desktop editions.
Use to review your stored preference. You can browse and play without allowing optional analytics.
Public game statistics
The game service can supply aggregate online game totals. Player counts refer to distinct game identities, not independently verified people. Small populations are withheld and eligible totals are rounded down in tens. Statistics may be unavailable while the service is not ready. Public rankings are currently unavailable. Your support message is never published as a ranking or statistic.
How long information is kept
We keep active support correspondence while handling your request. The developer reviews closed requests monthly and deletes correspondence more than 90 days after closure, unless a legal obligation or a security investigation requires longer retention. This is a manual review process, not an automatic inbox expiry.
Brevo is configured to retain transactional email logs for one month and not to store new email previews. The contact server keeps keyed abuse-control hashes and attempt times for 48 hours, with a purge at least every 15 minutes while it is running; deletion resumes after recovery if the service is stopped. It does not store message bodies or raw IP addresses in this limiter.
Browser cookie choices remain until you clear the website’s stored data or replace your choice. Email and hosting providers may retain operational records and backups under their own service arrangements.
Who can receive information
Information is available to the developer and the providers needed for hosting, security and correspondence: Cloudflare, Brevo and Zoho. Google does not currently receive optional website analytics because it is disabled. We may disclose relevant information where legally required or necessary to protect people or investigate misuse. We do not publish private correspondence without your permission.
Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a transfer requires protection under UK data protection law, appropriate safeguards must be in place, such as approved contractual protections or a recognised adequacy arrangement. You can ask for details of the safeguards relevant to your information.
Children and families
The game is designed for families, including younger players. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to help with a support request. Do not share your address, school, passwords or private invitations. Parents and guardians can contact us on a player’s behalf. Children have privacy rights too; we will explain responses in language they can understand.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights have legal exceptions. We may ask for enough information to verify a request safely.
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form or email support@pocketdrain.com.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need to contact us first.
Changes and external services
We update this policy when our data handling changes. The date above shows the latest update. Steam, X and other external sites have their own privacy policies when you follow a link or use their services.
